President Daniel Noboa presented the formation of his new ministerial cabinet, a few days after officializing a new restructuring of the state that reduced the number of ministries from fourteen to ten. The reorganization, announced on June 4, also takes place amid recent changes within the government team, including the departure of Gabriela Sommerfeld from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility.
In the framework of the administrative reorganization within the government formally announced on Thursday, June 4, 2026, President Daniel Noboa reduced the cabinet from 14 to 10 ministries and merged several portfolios into three megaministries: Economic and Productive Development, by Sariha Moya; Infrastructure and Technology, led by Roberto Luque; and Labour and Human Development, led by Cynthia Gellibert.
This is the second reconfiguration carried out by the president of Ecuador in a year that, according to the government, works to optimize resources
