EDGNEX Data Centers by DAMAC Confirms Strategic Partnership with Nordic Data Center Developer Hyperco

On April 1, 2025, EDGNEX Data Centers by DAMAC, headquartered in Dubai, UAE, announced the acquisition of Hyperco, a data center company founded in Finland, to expand its presence in the Nordics.
This acquisition is part of EDGNEX's ambitious European and global expansion plan, leveraging the Nordic region's sustainable energy resources and mature digital ecosystems.
The acquisition aims to strengthen the Hyperco brand, add growth capital, deliver future capacity in the Nordics, contribute to the region's data center landscape, and create new jobs and promote economic development.
Hussain Sajwani, Founder of DAMAC Group, stated that the acquisition aligns with their vision to develop strong partnerships, invest, and build scalable, world-class digital infrastructure, while EDGNEX is targeting 300+ MW of operational capacity by 2026 and has a robust investment pipeline of over $3 billion.
The acquisition empowers Hyperco, whose Co-founder and CEO is Aleksi Taipale, to accelerate its mission of delivering large-scale, sustainable data center infrastructure tailored for hyperscalers and AI-driven workloads, with all three Hyperco founders continuing to lead the company forward.
