On Friday night at the Crypto, the Dallas Wings defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 104-96, led by Arike Ogunbowale's game-high 30 points as Dallas won its fourth consecutive game.
Sparks coach Lynne Roberts warned her team against playing one-on-one against Dallas' elite scorers before the game, stating, "It can be a trap," though Los Angeles led 55-54 at halftime after shooting 64.7% from the field.
Returning from a three-game absence due to a sprained ankle, Kelsey Plum scored 27 points with six assists in her first game back for the Sparks. Dallas outplayed Los Angeles 27-18 in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
Dallas guard Paige Bueckers recorded a double-double with 18 points and 14 assists, while Maddy Siegrist added 16 points and rookie Azzi Fudd scored 11. The Wings' balanced scoring secured the win.
The Los Angeles Sparks will host Portland on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Crypto as they seek to end a three-game losing streak.
