Prague - The Czech state debt increased by 45 billion crowns in the first quarter of this year to a record 3.41 trillion crowns. The Ministry of Finance announced this today in its quarterly report on state debt management. Theoretically, every Czech citizen has a debt of 312,590 crowns. The debt level has increased slightly since the end of 2024, from 42 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) to 42.1 percent of GDP.
