ČEZ will cooperate on the development of new generation fuel assemblies for Dukovany-type reactors with the French company Framatome and other European operators. It continues to diversify fuel suppliers for nuclear power plants. Dukovany currently uses Russian fuel from TVEL, while last year the power plant received its first fuel from Westinghouse.

The Czech Republic plans to keep its oldest nuclear power plant, located at the Dukovany site, operating for up to 80 years. This was announced by Industry and Trade Minister Karel Havliček in Prague on Thursday.
