The Speaker of the Sejm and the leader of the New Left, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, declared that registry offices in cities where his party governs will act in accordance with the judgments of the European Court of Justice and the Supreme Administrative Court regarding same-sex marriages, ordering the transcription of marriage certificates concluded abroad.
Włodzimierz Czarzasty announced that Polish and European court rulings concerning the transcription of same-sex marriages concluded abroad will be enforced in cities governed by the Left. However, the government argues that implementing the CJEU and Supreme Administrative Court rulings requires amendments to several laws, not just regulations.
"In all cities where the Left governs, we will enforce the judgments of European and Polish courts regarding same-sex marriages concluded abroad. Every family must be protected by the state," wrote Włodzimierz Czarzasty, leader of the group and Speaker of the Sejm.
The left intends to introduce "gay marriage in Poland" through the back door. Using scandalous court rulings, it wants to legalize homosexual unions abroad en masse.*
