Risikomonitor has identified 5,730 Windows remote access services accessible from the internet in Switzerland. Of those whose version could be identified, 27.5% set up a session before authentication. The study also highlights large differences between hosting networks.

With every fourth Windows remote access, attackers can reach the login screen without any hurdle, as a company from Austria has determined. Compared to the neighbouring country, the country does worse – the reasons are the default settings of the providers and outdated systems.
