On Monday, 23 January, customs officers in Modane (Savoie) seized 16.2 tons of tobacco in a truck registered in Poland, stationed on an emergency stopping area of the A43 motorway. Law enforcement suspected that tobacco was being trafficked into an organized band to feed the parallel market.
