Around midnight on Friday (25/09), a Frontex drone spotted a dinghy in the sea area 7.5 nautical miles south, south-southwest of Gavdos. A short time later, a Frontex vessel rushed to the area, which, under the coordination of the Coast Guard Search and Rescue Center, proceeded to collect the 42 foreign passengers.
