NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — Just before 9 p.m. Monday night reports of a serious crash, all traffic halted, on US-60 near Goldfinch Road alerted E-911.

A fatal crash near Neosho has claimed the life of an elderly woman from Cassville. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 95-year-old woman was going east on Highway 60, five miles west of Neosho, when she crossed the center line and hit a pickup truck head-on.
