All of the eastbound lanes on the Ashley River Bridge have reopened heading into downtown after malfunctioning equipment left three lanes closed.

UPDATE: Ashley River Bridge Re-opens After Mechanical Issue

In coordination with SCDOT representatives, the City of Charleston is notifying the public the Ashley River Crossing bridge contractor, Mas-Tec Civil, experienced a mechanical failure on a large piece of equipment stationed on US 17 Northbound Ashley River Bridge early this morning.
