Day said healthcare, seniors and affordability will anchor his campaign as seven former CentreBC MLAs return to the Conservatives.
- On Tuesday, Sept. 22, incumbent Courtenay-Comox MLA Brennan Day announced he is rejoining the Conservative Party and simultaneously launching his re-election campaign for the riding.
- Following his resignation on Aug. 26, Day sat as an independent, citing loss of confidence in former leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay's judgment, conduct, and ethical standards.
- Stating on Facebook that "moderation has won out over division," Day added that healthcare and seniors will remain central priorities, building on his previous legislative work.
