The trial about the devastating gas explosion in an apartment building on Boerenkrijglaan in 2021 will start in the criminal court of Turnhout on Wednesday. Five defendants, including retail chain Vanden Borre, will have to answer for themselves. Four people died in the disaster on New Year's Eve 2021. The material damage was enormous and the survivors are still trying to pick up their lives again. "I'm going to let it all wash over me in court."
