County gets grant to replace caution signs
As part of an $8.8-million Kansas High-Risk Rural Roads (HRRR) Program Cherokee County will receive a $400,000 grant to upgrade signing on all major collector roads in the west half of the county. “This includes replacing all signs west of Highway 69, including all stop signs, curve warning, high water or any other sign that is warning drivers of an approaching safety hazard,” said County Highway Road and Bridge Supervisor Cody Zook.
