‘Counting Sheep’ brings childhood memories and dreamlike landscapes to Iowa State

A childhood memory can feel strangely close, even years after it happened. A familiar color, pattern or image can bring it rushing back.  For Iowa City artist Jamie Elizabeth Hudrlik, those memories have become the foundation of her paintings.  Hudrlik’s exhibition, “Counting Sheep,” is on display in the Memorial Union Art Gallery through Oct. 11.
