The Albert Lea City Council voted unanimously Monday to move forward with the preparation of plans for a remodel of City Hall that officials say would improve security and efficiency of the building.  The total estimated cost for the project is $1.5 million and would include the interior of portions of the lower and upper floors. In an effort to avoid delays with the ongoing renovations at 535 North Main St., the Schulenburg City Council authorized City Administrator Tami Walker to contact contractors and approve expenditures at a special meeting on Monday, April 14.
