Seized in 2024 by several public service unions, the Palais-Royal cancelled a circular from the Department of Public Service abolishing holiday vouchers for retired public servants.

It is a small economy on the back of the weakest, which will eventually not take place. In a decision of Tuesday 24 June 2025, the Conseil d'Etat cancelled a circular which deprived pensioners of the public service of holiday vouchers.
