Council briefs: Sooke clears way for more ALR homes

Sooke council adopted a zoning change allowing more homes on some Agricultural Land Reserve properties. The amendment applies to RU1 and RU3 parcels and brings Sooke’s rules in line with Agricultural Land Commission regulations. Eligible ALR lots can now have one principal residence, one secondary suite inside that home, and one additional residence.
