On Saturday May 16th, 2026, the Clay County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call at approximately 4:04 P.M. of multiple people shot at Baker Sawmill Company in Corning. Clay County Sheriff Deputies and Corning Police Officers responded to Southwest 1st Street in Corning and found two people with gun shot wounds in a building at the lumber company.
