TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. (WFLA) — Pinellas County Government's beach nourishment project has reached Treasure Island as contractors began work on the south end of Sunset Beach on Monday. According to the city of Treasure Island, Sunset Beach from the rock jetty to the southern tip will be closed to the public while under construction.
