Conor McGregor Confident for Rematch with Max Holloway, as the Two Headline UFC 329 on Saturday
McGregor says he will trade punches if Holloway starts his signature stand-and-bang exchange, setting up a rematch after 13 years.
Former double champion Conor McGregor returns to the Octagon on Saturday for the main event of UFC 329 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, facing 34-year-old former featherweight champion Max Holloway.
Thirteen years after their first meeting in 2013, which saw a dominant McGregor defeat Holloway, the Irishman returns following a five-year absence from competition since July 10, 2021.
Despite Holloway's signature tendency to point at the ground to initiate a stand-and-bang exchange, McGregor, 37, stated, "I will stand in there with this boy and let go."
Seeking vengeance for his previous defeat, Holloway said, "I'm going to make him wish that he didn't come back," as he prepares for this welterweight bout.
The main card features a lightweight battle between Benoit Saint Denis and Paddy Pimblett, while Cory Sandhagen meets Mario Bautista in a top-10 bantamweight clash.
