Donostia – The Congress of Deputies plenary session approved this Thursday a non-legislative motion agreed upon with the PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party) and Sumar (Sumar) to advance the clarification of the events that occurred during the 1978 San Fermin festival in Iruñea. The initiative includes recognition of Germán Rodríguez, who died in the police attack, as a victim of the struggle for democracy.
They are demanding that the Spanish Government clarify the police charges that occurred during the 1978 Sanfermin fiestas, declassify the documents related to them, and recognize German Rodriguez, who died in the events, as a victim through the document approved by Congress.
