A violent attack was carried out on a 44-year-old Congolese journalist and political refugee in the Grote Markt in Tienen. Three masked men struck him on the head with a hammer. The man was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. It is not the first time he has been the victim of violence in Tienen.
The Leuven Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into attempted murder and criminal conspiracy following a violent attack on the Grote Markt in Tienen. Yesterday at 5:15 p.m., three masked men attacked 44-year-old Congolese journalist and political refugee Claude Pero Luwara with a hammer. He sustained a severe head injury and was taken to the hospital. Notably, Luwara was also a victim of violence in Tienen last year.
