New Device Allows Users To Scroll With Their Tongue
A new device called MouthPad^ allows users to scroll through smartphones using only their tongues, offering hands-free touchscreen control.
MouthPad^ was created by Augmental as a tool for people with disabilities, connecting to devices through Bluetooth. It debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show and is expected to hit the market later this year.
The MouthPad^ is designed to be worn like a retainer, with a touchpad on the roof of the mouth and a force sensor for clicks. It can also sense tongue movements for typing and gaming.
Using your thumbs is a Neanderthal thing. A startup in California developed a device that allows you to control the smartphone, computer, and other devices with your tongue. The user can thus send emails, edit photos and scroll with their mouths.
