At the previous July 9 Plaquemines Port Harbor & Terminal District PPHTD) meeting, district 5 commissioner Patty McCarty put forward an ordinance to establish a policy allowing port commissioners to gain access to port records without a public records request. This ordinance from McCarty has been lingering on port agenda for an extended period of time, but it was regularly deferred by McCarty.
