Commission re-elects Thompson president, approves calendar
WAYNE — The Wayne County Commission, during its regular meeting on Monday, Jan. 12, approved two half days to be added to the 2026 Wayne County Courthouse holiday calendar through a calendar revision. The calendar, which was updated to align with the West Virginia Division of Personnel's and the Supreme Court of Appeal of West Virginia's holiday calendars, now includes half-day holidays on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve for 2026.
