Home of Philadelphia 76ers, Flyers lands naming rights deal with Xfinity Mobile
- On May 6, 2025, Comcast Spectacor and HBSE revealed that the South Philadelphia venue, home to the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers, will adopt the name Xfinity Mobile Arena starting September 1, 2025.
- The renaming follows Wells Fargo's decision last year not to renew its naming rights deal, which reportedly paid $1.4 million annually since 1994, and Comcast's growing focus on its mobile business.
- Opened in 1996 and recently refurbished with a $400 million upgrade in 2024, the arena welcomes more than 220 events annually and attracts around 2.5 million visitors each year. The partnership with Xfinity Mobile, beginning in September 2025, encompasses naming rights, extensive branding, hospitality services, and enhanced digital features throughout the venue.
- Comcast executives emphasized that the competitive nature of Philadelphia fans aligns well with the Xfinity Mobile brand, with the partnership extending until the conclusion of the 2030-2031 NBA and NHL seasons and new signage scheduled for installation on September 2, 2025.
- The renaming marks a milestone in Comcast and HBSE's joint arena venture, which plans a new venue by 2031-32, signaling sustained investment in Philadelphia's sports and entertainment landscape.
