Colorado legislature passes bill to loosen restrictions on how counties fund affordable housing

Senate Bill 1 allows Colorado counties to use general fund property tax revenue for housing and expands tax credit eligibility, aiming to address rising construction costs, supporters say.

A bill to give counties more ways to fund affordable housing cleared the Colorado legislature Wednesday and is on its way to Gov.
