Colombian Inflation Surprises All Analysts With Jump to 5.16%

Colombian inflation unexpectedly jumped in April in an unwelcome surprise for policymakers who restarted monetary easing last week.

By March, year-on-year inflation had stood at 5.09 per cent.

The Dane revealed that the CPI did not follow the route of descent that was projected to be below the 5% line, something that was not seen since 2021

By March of this year inflation had stood at 5,09 %, while in April 2024 it was 7,16 %.
