Coffeemakers sold at Walmart, Amazon recalled after user burns
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said about 17,600 units were pulled after 107 reports of hot liquid or steam release and 27 injuries.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled approximately 17,600 Kidisle coffee makers on June 11 after the appliances became clogged, causing hot liquid or steam to release unexpectedly during use.
Officials are aware of roughly 107 reports of the coffee makers releasing hot liquid or steam, resulting in about 27 reported injuries including first and second-degree burns requiring medical treatment.
Sold on Amazon, Walmart, and eBay for $49 between June 2024 and April 2026, the 11-inch by 6-inch machines feature a 50-ounce detachable water tank and brew 6 to 14 ounces using grounds or pods.
Consumers should stop using the machines immediately and contact Kidisle for a refund by destroying the product, cutting the power cord, and writing "recalled" on it before sending photos to the company.
