According to experts from the Ifo Institute and the ADAC, the fuel discount, which has been in force since 1 October, does not arrive completely, but mostly with drivers. For diesel, the petrol stations passed on an average of 15 cents of the 17 cent tax reduction per litre in the first five days according to Ifo. In the case of Super Benzin E5 it was on average 16 cents and in the case of Super E10 15 cents.
Fuel prices have fallen significantly since the beginning of October. ADAC believes: not clear enough.
Drivers look forward to the pumps, but the expected financial relief is not entirely in their purses.
The fuel discount remains controversial. A study now shows how much of it really arrives at drivers this time.
As in spring and summer, the Munich economists analyse the prices at the pumps. In the first few days, there is a gap between price decline and tax rebates.
Already the last tank discount came only 80 percent to the consumer. When does the government finally specifically relieve the low-income households?
