The Marine Research Institute has published an assessment of the state of commercial stocks and advice for the next fishing year. The cod catch limit will decrease by four percent, while the haddock catch limit will increase by three percent. The catch limit for golden redfish will decrease the most, by twelve percent, while the Icelandic summer spawning herring is the highest jumper of the year with a 27 percent increase in the catch limit.
