Cobra QS2800 review: a powerful garden shredder at a keen price
The 2,800W shredder auto-feeds branches and includes a reverse function, while its 60-litre box and £169.99 price support strong value.
- Priced at £169.99 on Amazon, the Cobra QS2800 features an auto-feed system that handles branches up to 45mm thick, turning bulky garden waste into manageable chippings.
- Instead of manually chopping branches, the QS2800 uses a 2,800W motor and drum mechanism to crush and cut woody material, particularly well-suited for trees and mature shrubs.
- The machine includes a 60-litre collection box and reverse function to clear jams; at 27.5kg, however, users must consider garden layout when navigating steps or steep ground.
- Users may need an outdoor extension lead due to the three-metre cable, and the device performs less elegantly with wet leaves; the QS2800 costs half a Bosch AXT.
- Garden waste shredded in the machine can be composted straight from the tub or used as mulch, transforming unruly branch heaps into manageable piles for disposal or reuse.
