The National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC) calls on the Government to ease some of the green requirements it intends to apply to new data centres. The expected report by the supervisor on the royal decree with which the Executive intends to screen massive data centre projects that accumulate in the country calls for flexibility in some of the new obligations raised.
The regulator calls for flexibility in the requirement to cover 80% of the annual electricity consumption by new renewable generation.
