CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating a deadly hit and run in north Charlotte. It happened on North Tryon Street just before one Saturday morning. Police say they found 74-year-old Ace Chambers dead, lying in the road. Investigators believe the hit-and-run driver also hit another car that stayed at the scene.
