Clark County Historical Museum volunteer Jan Anderson found a curious letter in historian Carl Landerholm’s archive in 2018. The envelope, from the Puget Sound & Columbia River R. R. Co., was addressed to B.C. Thomas, Eden, Maine. The two handwritten sheets inside were dated Feb. 8, 1869. The signatory, C.H.
