Clarets complete signing of ex-Sheffield United defender Anel Ahmedhodžić
The 27-year-old centre-back returns to England on a four-year deal as Burnley add depth after a summer push to strengthen defense.
Burnley confirmed the signing of defender Anel Ahmedhodzic from Feyenoord on Friday, with the 27-year-old centre-back signing a four-year deal with the Clarets.
Ahmedhodzic returns to the Championship after one year at Feyenoord, having previously spent three seasons at Bramall Lane where he helped Sheffield United win promotion to the Premier League in 2023.
"I'm really happy to be here," Ahmedhodzic said, noting his excitement about returning to the Championship and his familiarity with the Turf Moor atmosphere.
Manager Nicky Hayen has prioritized defensive reinforcement this summer, previously adding Manchester City loanee Max Alleyne; Ahmedhodzic joins Hjalmar Ekdal, Joe Worrall, and Bashir Humphreys.
