Lasudia police in Indore have arrested a 28-year-old man who allegedly posed as an IAS officer and District Collector. While paying a hotel bill, the man attempted to impress by citing his identity. Suspicious information was raised and the police were informed. A search of his home yielded a fake IAS nameplate, collector-related material, and a fake identification card related to a car.

Himanshu Panchal, a young man who posed as an IAS officer in Indore and allegedly intimidated the collector, was arrested. A fake nameplate, a Satyamev Jayate frame, and administrative materials were recovered from his home. Lasudia police registered a case under Section 204 of the Criminal Procedure Code and began further investigation. He also had a prior criminal record in Gujarat.
