City of Bainbridge receives ‘highest level of assurance’ from auditor

The City of Bainbridge’s financial statements for fiscal year 2025 were presented fairly, an auditor told the mayor and city council Tuesday night.  Justin Elliot, a certified public accountant and partner with Mauldin & Jenkins, said the firm was able to issue an “unmodified” or “clean” opinion — the highest level of assurance it can provide.
