STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The House Ways and Means Committee has approved legislation introduced by Rep. Nicole Malliotakis that would restrict tax-exempt organizations from contributing to political committees after receiving money from foreign nationals.
Representative Nicole Malliotakis, a Republican from New York State’s 11th Congressional District, announced on the 22nd that her proposed “Preventing Foreign Interference in Elections Act of 2026” (H.R.9771) has been passed by the House Ways and Means Committee and will now await further review by the House.
