GURU Organic Energy Announces Leadership Transition to Support Next Phase of Growth
The board named Tyler Ricks executive chair and promoted Patrick Charbonneau to chief revenue officer while searching for a CEO with scaling experience.
On Sept. 09, GURU Organic Energy Corp. announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Carl Goyette is stepping down after 12 years. Board Chairman Tyler Ricks will serve as Executive Chair during the search for a new CEO.
Goyette led GURU through sustained growth and its successful public listing, solidifying the brand's foundation in Quebec while enhancing retail execution across Canada and the United States. His tenure returned the company to positive trailing-twelve-month Adjusted EBITDA.
Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Ingy Sarraf will co-lead operations with newly promoted Chief Revenue Officer Patrick Charbonneau, both reporting to Ricks until a permanent CEO is appointed.
"We are all very grateful for Carl's leadership and contributions over the last 12 years," Ricks said. Goyette remains a shareholder and director, supporting an orderly transition as the board seeks a successor with proven brand-scaling experience.
GURU currently markets organic energy drinks through an estimated distribution network of about 25,000 points of sale across Canada and the United States, positioning the brand for continued growth under new leadership.
