On Saturday, a supercell storm formed near Ljubljana, and certain areas in the Horjul, Polhov Gradec and Vrhnika areas were hit by a severe hailstorm. In some places, the hail was as thick as a walnut and caused considerable damage, especially on agricultural land. From today onwards, the weather will be sunny, meteorologists say. The mornings will still be fresh, but it will be warmer every day during the day.
Saturday's storm hit the Vrhnika area and the area from Log pri Brezovici to the settlement of Bevke. In some places, the hail was said to be as thick as an egg.
Hailstorms were reported south of Ljubljana, from the areas around Brezovica, Drenov Grič, Polhov Gradec, Horjul and Vrhnika.
In the afternoon, numerous areas around Horjul, Polhov Gradec and Vrhnika were hit by heavy rains with hail.
