Chinese firms invested $4.2 billion in Brazil in 2024 as Mixue, Huawei and Meituan target consumers with stores, delivery apps and factory deals.

- Rising trade barriers in the United States have forced Beijing to pivot toward foreign markets for Chinese goods, departing from prior capital spending concentrated on large-scale hydropower and oil projects in Brazil.
- Chinese electronics maker Huawei and automaker GWM are also expanding, with GWM head of institutional affairs Ricardo Bastos stating, "The Brazilian consumers really like technology. They like it, but they are also very demanding."
- Health Minister Alexandre Padilha visited China last month to pursue healthcare tech transfers, while delivery firm Meituan plans to invest $1 billion by 2030 to challenge competitors including Amazon partner Rappi and iFood.
