MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, JUL 16 – Chandler police recommend felony child abuse charge against Brady Kiser for alleged negligent supervision leading to his son’s drowning, with prosecutors to decide on filing charges.
- Chandler Police Department on Tuesday completed its investigation into Trigg Kiser’s May 12 drowning at the Chandler, Arizona home and recommended a Class 4 felony child abuse charge.
- According to the Chandler Police Department, Brady Kiser became soon distracted by Theodore and lost sight of Trigg for three to five minutes while Emilie Kiser was out with friends.
- Following the investigation, the Chandler Police Department reported that the case was submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for review, and prosecutors will decide whether to pursue charges.
- To date, no formal charges have been filed against Kiser, and he could face up to three years in prison if convicted, as of Thursday, July 17.
- On July 15, an Arizona Superior Court judge granted the family temporary confidentiality, and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office will decide on charges pending review.
