Jernej Kozlovič and Maks Levačič won medals for Slovenia at the European Youth Chess Championship in Budva, Montenegro. Kozlovič became the European runner-up in the under-16 category and was one of the biggest surprises, as he rose to the top as the 35th seed. Levačič won a bronze medal in the youngest under-8 category.
