‘Charlie’s Angels’ Star Kate Jackson Makes Blunt Confession About Leaving Hollywood
Jackson said she left acting to raise her son and later moved to a Virginia farm after deciding motherhood came first.
Charlie's Angels star Kate Jackson recently shared a blunt confession about leaving Hollywood to become a full-time mom, stepping away from acting to focus on raising her son, Charles, on a farm in Virginia.
Jackson admitted she realized she 'couldn't be a good director and a good mom at the same time,' as the long hours of directing became difficult when her son was very little.
Before her hiatus, Jackson starred as Sabrina Duncan in Charlie's Angels from 1976 to 1981, following roles in Dark Shadows and The Rookies, and later directed two 1986 episodes of Scarecrow and Mrs. King.
In early April, the actress participated in a 50th anniversary panel for the show at PaleyFest LA, appearing alongside costars Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith.
Currently in California, Jackson says she is 'glad' she stepped back to concentrate on motherhood, but is now 'ready to go back' and exploring potential acting or directing work.
