Applications Open for Funding for Charities Helping Young People Into Work
The fund supports UK charities helping 14- to 25-year-olds into work, after three groups each received £50,000 in the first round.
On Monday, June 1, The Persimmon Charitable Foundation opened its second funding round, offering £150,000 for UK-based projects supporting employability for young people aged 14 to 25 in areas of economic and social deprivation.
Established in 2015 to support communities where Persimmon Homes operates, the foundation has donated more than £3 million to good causes since 2021 and launched this open application programme in 2025 to widen access.
In May, the Hamara Healthy Living Centre in Leeds, Newcastle United Foundation, and The Benjamin Foundation in Norfolk each received £50,000 from the foundation's first funding round.
Charities must submit applications by 11.59pm on Sunday, June 21; Anthony Vigor, Chair of the Foundation, said: "If your charity is focused on supporting employability, we encourage you to apply."
Successful applicants will be announced in September as the foundation continues its mission to provide funding opportunities for projects tackling deprivation and disadvantage in youth development.
