The 350-year-old Coldenhove paper factory in Eerbeek, Gelderland, has gone bankrupt. According to the CNV trade union, high energy prices were the main cause of the company's downfall. Bankruptcy trustee Bavo König is investigating whether a restart is still possible.
Coldenhove Paper was declared bankrupt on Wednesday. The factory has been located in Eerbeek for over 350 years. Due to the bankruptcy, approximately 110 employees have been given notice of dismissal. The bankruptcy trustee will search for a potential buyer.
