In the Central African Republic, it has been exactly a week since the family of Koumba Ndiaye had not heard from her. The sub-prefect of Bambouti, in the Haut-Mbomou, in the south-east of the country, was abducted on 28 December last, the very day of the general elections in the country, with a gendarme and an election officer killed since. In Bangui, concern is growing among his close relatives.
