Centennial’s Koelbel Library shuttered for nearly four days due to flooding - Colorado Community Media

When the fire main pipe broke in Centennial’s Koelbel Library on June 23, South Metro Fire Rescue responded quickly and repaired the pipe before extensive water damage could be done. Minimal damage to the building included drywall, installation and carpet. The library’s collection was not damaged at all. Clarkesville Library to reopen next week due to flooding

Employees at the Clarkesville Library will be serving guests outside the library building until 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 3. The city library flooded on July 1 due to heavy rains. Servpro air blowers and box fans can be seen inside the library drying out the remaining moisture. “We came in yesterday to the mess,” said Library Manager Shawna Meers-Ernst. “So we’re trying to make do and we’re trying to serve people the best we can.” Meers-Ernst sai…
